| Краткое описание деятельности | Mission of the organization: -to assist in the development of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in the Republic of Belarus, by helping them to build their effectiveness and gain public support Goals: • to provide free access to information resources to a wide range of NGOs • to develop leadership and management skills of NGO activists by providing proficient training and consultations • to support collaboration between the State, business, and non-governmental sectors Today UWB is a leading Belarusian NGO Development and Support Center. FIRST in the Republic of Belarus: • the informational resource centre for Belarusian NGOs has been working since 1995 • regular update of the Belarusian NGOs Database, which lie at the root of Belarusian NGOs reference books • the First National Informational Portal WWW.NGO.BY has been functioning since 2003 • rendering legal consultations; publishing “Legal State of NGOs in the Republic of Belarus” reference books; creation of study guides related to legal aspects of NGOs’ activities. United Way Belarus offers: Information • Databases of Belarusian NGOs and Foundations • Periodicals and reference books on activities of the third sector in Belarus and other countries • Materials related to NGO management • Information on competitions and training programs for NGOs • Monitoring of the Belarusian press concerning activities of NGOs and charitable foundations Consultations • on legal aspects of NGO establishment and activities • on NGO management Training • seminars, training, roundtables for NGOs • ABS courses for newly established NGOs |

| Текущие проекты | United Way Belarus created the First National Internet Portal WWW.NGO.BY for Belarusian NGOs. It is available to NGO workers, state bodies, business entities, as well as to sociologists, analytics, journalists, students, representatives from foreign foundations, etc. The Portal is three-lingual: Belarusian, Russian, and English. The following can be found on the Portal: •News from and about NGOs in Belarus and abroad; •Information on grant competitions, programs, seminars. .The Databases of Belarusian NGOs .The Database of Foundations .The Belarusian Press Monitored. •The Legal Section prepared by qualified lawyers employed in the governmental, business and non-profit sectors. All information in the Portal is thoroughly verified, generalized, classified and systematized. •If necessary, the users may get advice from the lawyer of United Way Belarus. |
